Project Description
Construction of a 10-storey Premier Inn hotel in central Milton Keynes providing 180 bedrooms, conference facilities, a ground floor bar + restaurant and extensive car and bike parking.
The project utilised off site sustainable construction methods such as the building structure, which comprised part in-situ and part precast reinforced concrete frame constructed on piled foundations. The external walls are a mixture of rainscreen cladding, insulated render and curtain walling.
The Site
The new hotel infilled a vacant site strategically located in the centre of Milton Keynes and reinstates missing street continuity with strong frontage at street level. The site sits on part of the main grid road system and the hotel entrance fronts onto Avebury Boulevard with the landscaped park behind.
