Project Description
The hotel is the first 4th Generation Holiday Inn Express to open in Ireland.
The project involved the conversion of the existing Findlater House office block to a new hotel. The works included the complete soft strip of the building, removal of plantrooms, removal of the existing façade, the reconfiguration of the internal cores and construction of one additional floor.
The Site
The new façade consists of granite cladding and aluminium curtain walling.
Conversion of the existing Findlater House office block on O’Connell Street to a 198 bed Holiday Inn Express Hotel. The scheme tackled a number of challenges, such as, site was located in a congested city centre. construction above a bar with no disruption to their business activities and extensive structural modifications.
