Further Training

Welcome to McAleer & Rushe, at the outset of the programme you will be taken through a company induction process and introduced to your workplace mentor who will help you settle into your new role. You will be assigned to a project and it is our policy to make sure you work on a scheme from the early stages to experience the full construction lifecycle from begining to handover. Managing your transition from university to work can be challenging and with our mentor system you can be sure that there will always be someone available to help you through each step. At the end of the first year you will have an annual review with your Director to assess your progress and ensure you are getting the full benefit of the programme.

Your Next Step

After completing your first year on the programme you should be settling into your role and building confidence in your abilities. At this point you will be looking towards the next step in your career and deciding what you need to do to achieve this, this will be discussed with your mentor and how McAleer & Rushe can help you reach these goals. By the end of the programme you should be thinking about your next step into a managerial role. At the end of the two years you will once again be given the opportunity to meet with your Director and discuss your next step. For engineers this should be a Senior Engineer role and for QS and Building Service graduates this should mean running a project of your own.
