Following on from the success of 2006, the McAleer and Rushe Group have added yet another two awards to their collection. Already, Northern Ireland Property Developer of the Year, the firm were recently awarded ‘Commercial Construction Project’ and the overall award for ‘Most Outstanding Entry’ at the recent CEF Specify Construction Excellence awards held at the Culloden Hotel, Cultra.
The McAleer & Rushe Group is one of Northern Ireland’s leading Construction and Property Development companies who carry out a variety of Commercial, Residential and Mixed use projects throughout Ireland and the UK.

The ‘Commercial Construction Project’ was awarded for the newly completed landmark Invest Northern Ireland Headquarters on Bedford Street, Belfast City Centre. McAleer and Rushe, delivered the construction of the project within a staggering 10-month period. This remarkable timescale demonstrated the group’s ethos of innovation in design and construction and close co-operation between all project parties ensured the successful development was delivered on time and on budget.
Created as part of a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) arrangement, the building was designed to help achieve the occupants core objective of securing higher levels of innovation and enterprise for the Northern Irish business community.
John Armstrong, Managing Director of the CEF added: “The work by McAleer and Rushe on Bedford Square Phase 1 really set the standard for the Awards. Their design and build team used exemplary construction techniques and delivered the project within a very tight timescale. It is now considered a benchmark for all future public sector accommodation projects in Northern Ireland.“
