Market Focus

The activities of the Company are principally focused on the development and construction of high density city centre schemes, often as mixed use projects or as stand-alone buildings.

The Company are specialists in the hotel and office sectors having completed in excess of 10,000 bedrooms for 12 national branded operators over 40 projects and 1.25m sqft office accommodation. City Centre apartment and suburban housing schemes are also undertaken by the company.

Many of the Company’s completed commercial developments are retained within the Group’s investment portfolio which has a value in excess of £500m and income of circa £32m

Development Managment

McAleer & Rushe is currently engaging with a number of financial institutions and other property owners’ with a view to managing the delivery of developments within their control. The services offered by the company in this scenario include full utilisation of its design and construction expertise mixed with its considerable market knowledge. In short each project will be managed as if it were within McAleer & Rushe’s ownership.

PFI/PPP

McAleer & Rushe in conjunction with Dunloe Ewart (MRDE) has undertaken the only office accommodation PFI project on behalf of the government in Northern Ireland. The £30m project, which extends to 100,000sq ft and is occupied by Invest Northern Ireland as its Headquarters, was completed by McAleer & Rushe as design & build contractor, with MRDE remaining responsible for all maintenance and facilities management related issues over the life of the PFI contract.
